TF Sport will make their European Le Mans Series return this season in the LMGTE class, with the Aston Martin Vantage GTE. TF’s Asian Le Mans Series entrants, John Hartshorne and Ollie Hancock will be joined by Aston Martin Racing factory driver, Ross Gunn.

The British-based team last competed in the ELMS in 2017 with the previous V8 Vantage GTE, where they achieved five podiums and a win, to finish second in the championship - a mere two points away from taking the crown.

Whilst gentleman driver Hartshorne, has plenty of experience in modern GT3s, his main ambition is to race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans again, in British machinery. The aim of competing in this year’s ELMS is to get Hartshorne up to speed with the AMR GTE and it is one step closer to achieving his goal. With long-term team mate Hancock, and WEC pro Gunn, alongside Hartshorne, the team will be pushing for another season of strong results.

TF Sport’s GTE will share a garage with the ‘Racing Team Turkey by TF Sport’ LMP2, making it the first time the team have run in multiple classes in an international championship.

The European Le Mans Series commences at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, on April 18.

Tom Ferrier, Team Owner - “It’s great to be back in the ELMS paddock and to be running a third Aston Martin GTE in our 2021 season. We were so close to winning the championship last time, our only aim is to go back and seal the deal... in both classes! It’s certainly going to be a challenge, but it is one I believe we are more than capable of taking on. After racing against Ross in WEC last season, I’m glad he’s able to join us and strengthen the line-up even further.”

John Hartshorne, Bronze Driver - “After spending the last few years in GT3, it was about time I made the step up to the next level. With my goal in mind, and with TF Sport winning Le Mans last season, it only made sense to take this step with them. I’m excited to be racing across Europe, with my British teammates, in a British car, for a British team!”

Ollie Hancock, Silver Driver - “Entering ELMS is a step forward towards John’s ultimate goal of racing at Le Mans again, in another British marque. It’s been 11 years since he last competed in the famous 24-hour race, so a few things have changed since then! But I have no doubt that TF Sport will help get him up to speed and well prepared for the time that opportunity arises.”

Ross Gunn, Gold Driver - “Really looking forward to competing in ELMS with TF Sport! I’ve always wanted to get back to the championship since competing in it, in 2017, and doing it with a great team and new teammates in Ollie and John is very exciting for me. I can’t wait to get back in the Aston Martin Vantage GTE and we are more than ready to kickstart the season at Barcelona!”
