Connor finds himself spending 2020 in the Aston Martin AMR Vantage V8 GT4 taking on the best in British GT’s GT4 grid. His route here was not that of your typical GT racing youngster.
The family background was heavily biased towards rallying, sideways through the woods was the action Connor aspired to be involved in. Starting his motorsport career at the age of 14 in the British Junior Rally Championship gave Connor good foundations to build his career on.
His feelings towards racing soon changed after joining his older brother on some Ginetta test days and endurance race events, he was hooked by the sheer speed and grip offered by race cars, but also the glamour of a British GT paddock.
Beginning his racing career with 2 years of GT5 single make racing acted as a spring board to enter British GT in 2019 with Aston Martin. His rookie year went without podium but amongst a competitive field, glimmers of strong performance shined through for Connor. Qualifying was where Connor’s speed really became apparent, often taking top-3 positions and at times being the fastest Aston Martin driver on track.
Looking to 2020 Connor joins reigning champions TF sport, with sights set on the Championship title. After a few pre-season tests he has bonded well with his team mate Patrick Kibble, and proven that as a pairing they have the pace to be title contenders.
