Ahmad Al Harthy, Salih Yoluc and Charlie Eastwood set for Blancpain with Oman Racing with TF Sport
Oman Racing with TF Sport are set to return to the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup this year and will field the all-new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 for Ahmad Al Harthy, Salih Yoluc and Charlie Eastwood. The team will compete in the Pro-Am class in the five-round Championship.
The team has an impressive record in the category, having taken the Pro-Am honours in 2017 with Ahmad and team regular Jonny Adam. Oman Racing with TF Sport returned last year to compete in the Silver Cup with Ahmad and Charlie but while the title proved to be elusive, the pairing enjoyed a solid season in the V12 Vantage.
Tom Ferrier, TF Sport Director
“This is a proven driver line-up and it’s fantastic to have three of our ‘own’ back racing again in the Blancpain Endurance Cup this year. We more than proved we can win at this level in 2017 with both the teams’ and drivers’ titles. Last year wasn’t perfect, but we aim to come back stronger and expect to be competing for victories and with that the Pro-Am championship.”
“This is probably the most competitive championship in the world, but we know Tom and TF Sport are at the top of the game in GT Racing. Salih and Ahmad are the best teammates you could ever hope for and we have had a good test at Paul Ricard in the new Aston and our pace was strong. We’re really looking forward to getting started to see where we are. For me it’s a step up in just my second year of endurance racing, being the Pro driver in the car, so I know there will be more pressure to perform but I’m up for the challenge.”
Amad Al Harthy
“We can’t wait to be back to defend or 2017 Pro-Am title and it’s great to have Salih and Charlie with us. We have the new Aston GT3, so we’re excited to be racing this over the season ahead. It has been a long break since Abu Dhabi and the Gulf 12 Hours so we’re happy to be running as Oman Racing with TF Sport once again!”
“I'm excited and happy to drive the new Aston Martin GT3, with Ahmad and Charlie. I've been teammates with both of them before and looking forward to the season with them ahead again. The competition is always tough, but that’s the fun part and I’m sure we will all have a good season together.”
