John Hartshorne will once again compete in both the Asian Le Mans Series, and the European Le Mans Series in a TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage GTE. This season Hartshorne will be joined by two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, Jonny Adam, and GT World Challenge Europe champion, Henrique Chaves for the TF Sport-run programmes.

Both Hartshorne and Adam ran in sister cars at last year’s double-headers at Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and will again, utilise the Asian Le Mans Series to prepare for the full ELMS calendar, but this time alongside silver-graded Chaves.

New to the team Chaves, has had his fair-share of successes in GT3, winning the 2020 International GT Open and the 2021 GT World Challenge Europe titles, but the 2022 ELMS entry will be his first season in GTE machinery.

The 2022 Asian Le Mans Series begins at the Dubai Autodrome on February 12-13, with the final two rounds taking place at Yas Marina Circuit on February 19-20.

Circuit Paul Ricard will host the European Le Mans Series season-opener on April 17. Following that, the championship will visit Imola, Hungaroring, Barcelona and Spa-Francorchamps, before the finale on October 16 at Portimão.

All Asian Le Mans and European Le Mans Series races will be streamed live and for free on the championships’ YouTube channels.

Tom Ferrier, TF Sport - “It’s great to have John back with us for the double-championship programme, Jonny is always a pleasure to work with and I’m really pleased to have Henrique join us at TF Sport. The Asian Le Mans Series is ideal to prepare for the full ELMS season and I have no doubt we can help John improve even more so than he did last year.”

John Hartshorne, Bronze driver - “I’m thrilled to be back with TF Sport in both the Asian and the European Le Mans Series’. I have super-strong teammates in Jonny and Henrique and I’m really looking forward to driving with them both this season.”

Henrique Chaves, Silver driver - “TF Sport is a very capable and successful team and I’m very happy and excited for this new challenge in the Middle East but also very happy to be back in the ELMS. I’m confident that together with John, Jonny and TF Sport we are able to achieve very good results in Asian Le Mans Series as well as in ELMS and it is just a bonus to have the chance to finish the season in Portimão in front of my home crowd.”

Jonny Adam, Platinum driver - “Can’t wait to get back to racing in the Asian Le Mans Series. The perfect time of year to get back behind the wheel and it will make for perfect preparation for ELMS come the start of the European season. I’m super happy to rejoin TF Sport in their Aston Martin Vantage GT3/GTE prepared cars and to partner with John Hartshorne and Henrique Chaves. I feel we can have some great results in 2022 in both championships.”
