SORENSEN AND LATORRE JOIN KEATING FOR WEC TITLE TILT
Following Ben Keating’s World Endurance Championship return announcement, TF Sport can now reveal that the Texan gent will be joined by multiple WEC Champion Marco Sorensen and Porsche Carrera Cup France race winner, Florian Latorre.
Aston Martin factory Pro driver Sorensen, has been crowned the FIA WEC Champion on two occasions alongside Nicki Thiim, but now, the renowned ‘Dane Train’ will go head-to- head in the GTE Am class, with Thiim teaming-up with AMR’s Paul Dalla Lana.
Silver-graded Latorre has proven his pace in the Porsche Carrera Cup France, claiming five pole positions, an equal amount of fastest laps, eight podiums and a win, in the 2021 season. The 24-year old driver from France made his WEC debut last year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans where he raced with Proton Competition.
The 2022 FIA WEC Prologue and season opener takes place at Sebring, USA, with track action kicking off on March 12, with the lights going green on the 1000 Miles of Sebring, on March 18.
