TF Sport confirms that Ash Hand will join TF Sport for the forthcoming British GT Championship which gets underway next month at Oulton Park. Hand steps up to the GT4 class in the Championship and will compete alongside Tom Canning in the #97 Aston Martin Vantage, while the sister #95 entry will be driven by Patrick Kibble and Josh Price.

Hand, who turns 25 next month, has a background in karting where he took title success in 2009 and 2010. A move to the Renault Clio Cup followed in 2013 where he claimed his first podium position.

Further podiums followed in 2014 and then six wins on his way to second in the championship the year after.  Hand continued in the series and now joins TF Sport for his first season in the British GT Championship.

“We’re looking forward to the new season and we know the GT4 category is going to be very competitive,” explained TF Sport Director, Tom Ferrier. “Ash joins the programme relatively late due to unforeseen circumstances, but we’re delighted to have him on board and I’m sure he will be a very good teammate to Tom Canning.”

In addition, Aston Martin Racing today announced that following their assessment programme, all four of TF Sport’s British GT4 drivers have been selected for the AMR Driver Academy for the 2019 season.

Having worked closely with the Academy applicants in recent months, Charlie Eastwood has been confirmed as an AMR Junior. Alongside his FIA WEC and Blancpain GT duties with TF Sport, he will now begin a test and development programme with the British manufacturer.
