Following a spell in single seaters, Ahmad competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup in the UK in 2010, taking the Pro-Am crown in 2012. A move to the British GT Championship followed before he joined TF Sport to compete in both Blancpain Endurance Cup and the Road to Le Mans, claiming the title and double race victory in both categories respectively in 2017.
Ahmad ended his 2018 season at the Gulf 12H race in Abu Dhabi where he teamed up with Jonny and Darren Turner, finishing a strong fourth on the debut of the next generation Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
The Omani ace was crowned champion in the 2019 Pro Am class of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in TF Sport’s Vantage GT3 alongside Charlie and Salih.
Al Harthy raced in the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series alongside Jonny Adam and Tom Canning, and also completed guest races in the GT World Challenge Europe championship, where he stepped onto the podium in Barcelona.
2022 sees Ahmad return to the Asian Le Mans Series and he also takes a step up to GTE, as he enters the European Le Mans Series for the first time.
