With a background in karting, Jonny Adam started his single-seater career in Formula Ford in Scotland in 2003 before moving into the Clio Cup championship the following year, claiming the championship in 2005. A move to the SEAT Cupra Championship was next up, with an impressive 18 wins and further championship successes in 2007 and 2008.
Following a spell in the British Touring Car Championship, he made his debut in the British GT Championship in 2011 and followed that up with his FIA World Endurance Championship debut with Aston Martin Racing. He claimed his ﬁrst British GT title in 2015 and backed that up the following year with another title alongside Derek Johnston at TF Sport.
2017 saw Jonny partner Ahmad Al Harthy in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, again taking the title with TF Sport in the Pro-Am class. In addition, Jonny claimed a historic LMGTE Pro class victory with Aston Martin Racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Jonny won the British GT Championship for a record-breaking fourth time in 2019 alongside Graham Davidson in the #47 GT3 Vantage. Jonny then went on to claim a second 24 Hours of Le Mans victory in LMGTE, with Am class team mates Salih Yoluc and Charlie Eastwood, in 2020.
