The dawn of a new era: TF Sport and Corvette Racing join forces for FIA WEC

A wind of change blows from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. After seven 24 Hours of Le Mans and six years of fruitful collaboration, great successes and incredible achievements, TF Sport and Aston Martin Racing will part ways in the FIA WEC at the end of the 2023 season. The team led by Tom Ferrier will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2024 with two Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs, the new creation of the U.S. manufacturer's brand, which will replace the current Corvette C8.R.

Unveiled in early 2023 and set to make its official debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona 2024, the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R perfectly embodies the competitive and ambitious spirit that Corvette Racing has built over 25 years of racing. A staggering 125 victories in some of the most important and famous races on the planet have helped shape the DNA of the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R, which promises to amaze the world just as its ancestors have done before it.

TF Sport will support Corvette Racing in its ambitious plans, as the team aims to confirm itself as a reference player in World Endurance Championship. Being the only team to achieve four consecutive top-two finishes in the LMGTE AM class in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, TF Sport intends to continue its streak of success alongside a brand whose cars have triumphed nine times at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, four at the Rolex 24 At Daytona (including the 2021 race) and 12 at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring.

Based on the highly acclaimed mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette Z06 supercar, the Z06 GT3.R is the result of research and development aimed at a single goal: to make it suitable across different tyre specifications, balance-of-performance settings and other customer preferences without any sacrifice in terms of performance or driveability on a variety of tracks and racing surfaces. These features will certainly prove crucial during the 2024 FIA WEC season, whose calendar has opened the door to new tracks on which TF Sport and Corvette look forward to racing together.

Christie Bagne, Corvette Z06 GT3.R Program Manager:
“We are excited to welcome TF Sport to the Corvette Racing family. Tom Ferrier and his organization showcase the elements we were looking for in a team to run our Corvette Z06 GT3.R in the FIA WEC - a first-class operation, strong collaboration and a history of success. We look forward to working with Tom and his team to make the Z06 GT3.R a success in the WEC and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024 and beyond.”

Tom Ferrier, TF Sport Director:
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to represent such an iconic brand on the world stage. Corvette Racing has an immense history at Le Mans and we will be looking to continue that run of success. I’d like to thank everyone at Aston Martin Racing for the support and success we have had over the past six years and seven Le Mans but now I feel the time is right for a new challenge in the WEC. We still have a job to do in this year’s WEC now lying second in the championship and will give it our all to finish on a high.”
